The Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas granted the Rural Education and Workforce Alliance (REWA) $10,000.  REWA was formed in 2019 to create partnerships by working together with area school districts, community colleges, businesses and universities to advance educational opportunities and workforce skills, to help raise Southwest Kansas.

REWA is excited to be able to provide the service of the makerspace which is a place for entrepreneurs and individuals to expand on their ideas. “We are excited to receive this grant that will help cover operating expenses in 2023 and allow us to continue growing higher education degree programs, workforce trainings and the newly opened makerspace,” says Kyla Keller Rural Education and Workforce Alliance Coordinator.  “We are thankful for the Community Foundation’s continued support with this project.”

For more information about REWA or the University/Training Center please contact Kyla Keller at 620-371-3866 or kkeller@dodgedev.org.
