Shafer Gallery to host ribbon cutting for new sculpture installation

The Shafer Gallery at Barton Community College will celebrate the installation of a new sculpture in conjunction with the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 3 on the plaza in front of the Gallery. There will be brief comments, light refreshments and the Gallery will be open for attendees to view the Friends and Acquaintances Community Art Show exhibition.

Donated by Robert Feldt, the sculpture titled “Sabretooth” was fabricated out of welded steel and found materials by local artist Bob Mix.
