Jason Edwards Earns NJCAA DI National "Player of the Week" Honors | Dodge City Community College

After winning KJCCC Division I "Player of the Week" this week Dodge City guard, Jason Edwards has earned NJCAA DI National "Player of the Week" honors. 

The Conquistadors are 11-2 on the season and 7-1 in KJCCC action and sit in sole possession of first place in the Jayhawk Conference going into the holiday break. 

Edwards last week posted 29 points on 7-12 shooting and 14-18 from the free throw line in the Conquistadors road win over a ranked Butler team. He added seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the win. He followed that up with 28 points on 11-18 shooting with four rebounds and one steal in the contest against Hutchinson. 

On the season Edwards is averaging 20.6 points per game on 47.8% shooting, ranking third in the KJCCC and 25th in nation in points per game. He's adding 3.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game on the season playing in all 13 games for the Conqs. 

The Conqs will be back in action in a non-conference tilt on December 31st at home against #5 Indian Hills at 3:00 pm.
