Jason Edwards Earns KJCCC DI "Player of the Week" Honors For Second Time

For the second time this season Dodge City men's basketball player, Jason Edwards has earned KJCCC Division I "Player of the Week" honors. 

 

The Conquistadors sit at 14-4 on the season and 10-2 in KJCCC action and first place in the conference after a 1-1 week last week on the court. Edwards was a piece of the Conqs performances last as he has been all season. 

 

Edwards dropped 30 points going 9-10 from the free-throw line and added three rebounds, three assists, two steals, and only two turnovers in the win over Pratt. He followed that up with a 26-point and five-rebound performance in a tough road loss at Barton. 

 

On the season Edwards averages 22.3 points per game on 49.3% shooting adding 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He ranks second in the KJCCC and 14th in the nation in scoring, while ranking third in the nation in total points with 401, fifth in made free throws (90), and eighth in made field goals (136).
