Tracey Mann, a U.S. Congressman representing Kansas' 1st district since 2021, shared his perspectives on pressing legislative matters through a series of tweets on May 22, 2025. Mann has been actively involved in advocating for policies that aim to prevent tax hikes and address federal spending.

In a tweet posted at midnight UTC on May 22, Mann warned that if Congress does not take action, "Kansas families will receive an average tax hike of $2,200 next January." He emphasized the efforts of the House GOP to support President Biden's legislative agenda which aims to prevent these tax increases while saving taxpayer dollars and investing in rural communities. "If Congress does not act, Kansas families will receive an average tax hike of $2,200 next January."

Later that day at 01:01 UTC, Mann addressed concerns about the national debt, stating it had reached $36 trillion and described current federal spending as unsustainable. He highlighted the introduction of "One Big, Beautiful Bill," which he claims will cut the federal deficit by $1.5 trillion and lower taxes for Kansans. "With our national debt at $36 trillion, our federal spending is unsustainable."

In another tweet posted at 10:58 UTC on the same day, Mann expressed his anticipation to vote for what he referred to as President Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill." According to him, this bill aims to lower taxes, secure borders, reduce federal spending, and set the country back on track. "I’m looking forward to voting for President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill here in a few moments."

Tracey Mann was born in Quinter, Kansas in 1976 and currently resides in Salina. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000.
