Roger Marshall discusses rainfall records, police mental health efforts, and CDL legislative push

Dr. Roger Marshall, a U.S. Senator representing Kansas, has recently shared several updates on his social media account regarding weather conditions, law enforcement mental health, and legislation concerning commercial driver’s licenses.

On August 17, 2025, Marshall commented on the unusually high rainfall in his region: "Amazing this time of the year — all the grass is green, and the ponds flowing over. It’s been maybe a decade since we’ve seen this much rain."

Two days later, on August 19, he described hosting an event focused on mental health for law enforcement: "Today, I hosted a roundtable with law enforcement officers and mental health professionals to explore how officers can transform stress into growth opportunities and raise awareness about the mental health challenges they face. I look forward to continuing these discussions and"

On August 20, Marshall addressed concerns over commercial driver’s license approvals: "Democrats in Washington and California gave this illegal alien his CDL approval, despite his complete inability to understand English or read road signs. Now, a family of three is dead. I introduced legislation in June to ensure only fluent English speakers can drive on our" Dr. Marshall has previously advocated for stricter requirements for obtaining commercial driver’s licenses after incidents involving drivers who were not proficient in English.

Senator Roger Marshall has served Kansas in Congress since 2017 and has frequently commented publicly on issues related to public safety and regulatory policy.
