Tracey Mann, a U.S. Congressman representing Kansas’ 1st district, has recently shared several updates on social media regarding significant events and decisions impacting his constituents and the nation. Mann, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Roger Marshall, has expressed his views on trade relations with Mexico, a tragic airline incident, and a national prayer event.

On February 6, 2025, Tracey Mann commented on the trade relationship between Mexico and corn growers in Kansas and the United States. He stated that “Mexico is a significant trade partner for corn growers in Kansas and the U.S.” Mann also mentioned his longstanding advocacy for reversing Mexico’s ban on genetically modified corn and applauded President Sheinbaum’s decision to repeal what he described as an “unscientific, arbitrary ban.”

Later that day, Mann addressed the recent tragedy involving American Airlines Flight 5342. On February 6, 2025, he remarked that “Kansas continues to grieve the loss of the 67 innocent lives lost on American Airlines Flight 5342”. He emphasized the community’s resilience by stating that while they will never get over this tragedy, they will work through it together. Mann also committed to collaborating with others as more details emerge.

On February 7, 2025, Tracey Mann shared his experience at a national event by saying “Audrey and I had the honor of praying with @POTUS, members of Congress on both sides of the aisle”. This gathering took place at the National Prayer Breakfast where participants recognized the importance of collective prayer for their country and beyond.
